Frequently asked questions
Who are we?
UploadPro.org is an intuitive, hassle-free and reliable free file hosting provider. We are based in Australia while our servers are based in the United States of America.
What is the limit of the number of file that may be uploaded per user?
Unlike many other free hosting services, we do not have any limit on the number of file uploads per user. You may upload as many as you would like to.
What is the file size limit?
Currently we have a 5 MB limit on all files. Your files must be below this limit or else they will be rejected by our system.
What are the file types allowed?
We accept all file types.
What is the data transfer limit per file?
We do not have a data transfer limit per file as long as it does not overload our servers. While our servers are pretty capable of handling most of the massive traffic generated by our users, at times when they do not cope, necessary actions will be taken to ease the loads. Such occurrence however, is rare.
Will inactive files be removed?
Yes, files that have not been accessed for 6 months will be removed from our servers.
How long will the uploaded files be hosted for?
All uploaded files will be hosted until they reach 6 months of inactivity, which will then be classified as inactive files and be removed from our servers.
Can I hotlink my files?
Yes you may hotlink your files. Alternatively, you may also hotlink the thumbnails generated.
How do I create thumbnails with UploadPro.org?
A thumbnail is automatically created by our system if its width or height exceeds 150 pixels.
Why is the quality of the thumbnail different from the original file?
Our thumbnails are created with the objective of being light-weight in order to optimize the delivery speed. As such, some quality may be lost during the conversion of the image to the thumbnail.
